EduControl: run a whole school from one calm place
Schools were juggling spreadsheets, paper registers and a different tool for every office. We designed and built EduControl, a multi-school platform that runs admissions, timetables, terminal reports, fees and feeding from one place, with a phone-friendly portal for pupils and parents.

The brief
Many offices, one source of truth
The bursar, the head teacher, class teachers and parents all needed the same records, each seeing only what they should, without one school ever seeing another's data.
One calm place
Every module shares one design system and one navigation: academic calendar, timetables, terminal reports, fee management, feeding, invoices and payments. Billing cycles generate a term's invoices in one run, and finance corrections are recorded rather than edited away.
A portal families actually open
Pupils and parents get a phone-first portal: today's periods, the week's timetable as a PDF, results, and a clear fee balance with every invoice. It runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install.
Permissions that fail closed
A build-time test walks every API route and fails if one has no permission rule, and anything unruled is refused at runtime. Staff sign in with an authenticator app, rolled out without locking a single school out.
Built to grow school by school
Each school is a separate tenant with its own users and roles. Pupil and staff photos live in object storage rather than the database, so costs stay predictable as schools join.

Inside EduControl
Real screens from the live product, shown with demo data. Pick a view to see how each office works.

Invoices. School-fee invoices with paid, partial and issued states, generated by billing cycles.
On the phone
Pupils and parents use a portal built for mid-range phones. It runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install.
